The Rider Waite Tarot deck is my favourite deck and the one I always use.
It's easy for beginners but also good for more experienced readers as the detailed pictures help to explain the meanings of the cards, and many subtler meanings can be gained by looking at imagery in the background, colours, expressions on people's faces, positioning and so on.
The more you learn about the Tarot the more you will recognise the various symbols in the cards which will enrich your readings. This newly drawn pack makes the Rider Waite deck look more beautiful and sophisticated but still keeping the details that make it so great to read with. The deck is slightly bigger than the original and feels more solid when you shuffle it.
Artist Virginijus Poshkus has redrawn and recoloured the original card images by artist Pamela Colman Smith.
The main difference between the two decks is that the Radiant features rich, vibrant colours without the black-line shading typical of the Rider-Waite. Colours are the same for the most part, but the Radiant's are deeper with shading.
